Summer Fun in Central Florida

It’s officially summer! The humidity and afternoon thunderstorms are here! If you’re looking for fun adventures, check out these wallet-friendly destinations below. Whether you want to stay cool or embrace the heat, we’ve got plenty of exciting opportunities right here in Central Florida.

Wildlife, Nature, and Beyond

Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

Reptiles, Insects, and Mammals, oh my! Spend the day with over 500 animals on 23 acres of native gardens for less than $20 per person. Check out the animal encounters, zip lines, and splash playground for additional fees.

Wild Florida

Want to go on a safari from the comfort of your own car? Wild Florida is home to over 200 animals that you can see up close and personal as you drive through the park. Florida resident tickets are less than $25 per person. Airboat rides and other adventures are available for additional fees. 

Harry P. Leu Gardens

Are you a plant lover? Leu Gardens has 50 acres of exquisite gardens with over 40 diverse plant collections, including a tropical rain forest, rose garden, and butterfly garden. In addition, they have family fun events throughout the summer. Daily admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

West Orange Trail – Bikes & Blades Co.

Want to explore the beautiful scenery around Winter Garden? West Orange Trail Bikes & Blades Co. offers daily and hourly bike rentals to ride anywhere along the 22-mile trail. Workout while you enjoy cruising through Winter Garden!

Florida Natural Springs State Parks

Want to enjoy nature and stay cool at the same time? Visit one of Central Florida’s natural springs! There are so many to choose from in our area. Visit each website for the park admission fee. 

 

Amusement, Art, and Arcades

Fun Spot

Looking for coasters, games, and go-karts that are affordable for the whole family? Visit Fun Spot! Parking is free and you can pay for the whole day or per attraction.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games

Want to have fun and escape the heat? Go to Andretti’s and stay in the AC for high-speed go-karts, arcade games, bowling, and laser tag. Admission is free – pay for only the attractions you want to experience.

District Eat & Play

Need the thrill of an escape room or want to test your skills at ax throwing? District Eat & Play has that and so much more! Prices vary based on attraction.

Crayola Experience

Looking for some creative fun and hands-on activities for the kids? Check out the Crayola Experience in the Florida Mall. Tickets are $25 per person when you purchase online.

Disney Springs

Want to experience the joy of Disney without going to the theme parks? Visit Disney Springs where parking is free and there are hundreds of shops, restaurants, attractions and shows for everyone in your family or friend group.
