Eternal God,
You are the Creator and Sustainer of all.
You order our days by Your wisdom
And invite us to find joy in Your good gifts.
We confess that we chase after what cannot satisfy.
We strive and toil for what does not last,
And grasp for control that is not ours.
We forget that apart from You, all is empty.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Turn our hearts back to You,
our anchor in this life
and our hope in the life to come.
Amen.
