Faithful God,
You are gentle with the weak,
patient with the wandering,
rich in mercy and full of grace.
You call us to restore with gentleness,
to carry one another’s burdens in love,
and to forgive others as we have been forgiven.
Still, we turn from Your way.
We speak before we listen,
and judge before we understand.
We hold tight to offenses,
choosing pride over patience.
Forgive us, Lord.
By Your Spirit, lead us in the way of Your truth,
that we might live for Your glory
and for the good of others.
