Lord Christ, King of all Kings,
The promise of eternal salvation is secure.
Our obedience is our inheritance.
We belong to a Kingdom.
You are the King over all things.
We confess that we treat those around us with so far less than the kindness
You have called us to embody.
Our words and actions often tear others down, rather than build them up.
Free us from the burden of being right.
May we love people more than perfection.
By the power of Your Holy Spirit, may the kindness of Your people flourish in our city.
Bring us to repentance and let us see Your grace poured out through us.
