You are what you love.
And what you love reveals what you’ll leave behind.

Every day, we invest our lives somewhere — our money, our time, our attention, our energy, our yes.

But not all of it lasts.

Much of what fills our days is gone as quickly as it came. And if we’re honest, none of us want to give our lives to something that disappears the moment we’re gone.

So what is worth it?

Jesus gives us a clear answer: The church.

“His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known…”
— Ephesians 3:10-11

The Church is God’s plan for restoring, healing, and drawing people to Himself. Through His people, He is at work putting the world back together.

And He invites us to be part of it.

What we invest in shapes what we love.
And over time, it shapes what lasts.

Everything we have has been entrusted to us.
Our time, our energy, our influence, our resources.
Not just to spend, but to steward.

That kind of life doesn’t always look impressive.

It’s often quiet. Steady. Unseen.

But it matters.

Because it reaches beyond us — into people, families, and communities.

We’ve already seen this among us at Grace this year.

People showing up and serving.
Families being cared for.
Our community finding affordable and accessible counseling.

Moments where someone is prayed for, known, and not alone.
Truth being taught faithfully.
Healing and restoration through the power of the gospel.

These aren’t just good moments.

They’re signs of a life invested in what matters most.

Generosity isn’t just something we do.

It’s a reflection of what we believe will last.

This kind of life isn’t something we just drift into. It’s something we choose.

At Grace, we want to be a people who choose to:

Pray persistently.
Commit fully.
Celebrate loudly.
Give generously.

You’re already investing your life somewhere. Choose to invest in what will last.

Pause & Reflect:

  1. Where is your life currently invested — your time, your attention, your energy?
And is it shaping something that will last?
  2. Where has God placed you right now — your work, your home, your relationships — and how might He be inviting you to be more intentional there?
  3. What might it look like to more fully invest in the place where you are today?
  4. Are there areas where comfort or convenience are keeping you from living more fully for what matters most?
