WEEK ONE: Nov 30 / Dec 1
- Read Isaiah 9:2; 6-7.
- Reflect on a time when you experienced a significant challenge or darkness in your life. How did the hope of Christ’s presence bring light into that situation?
- In what ways can you be a bearer of Christ’s light to those around you, especially during this season of Advent?
- Isaiah’s prophecy speaks of hope not yet seen but promised. How does this perspective of ‘hope in waiting’ change the way you approach your own future uncertainties?
WEEK TWO : Dec 7/8
- Read Luke 2:8-14.
- How does the peace of Christ differ from the peace the world offers? Reflect on a time when you felt Christ’s peace in contrast to simply an absence of conflict.
- In what practical ways can you cultivate and share the peace of God with others during this busy holiday season?
- The angels proclaimed peace to those whom God favors. How does understanding that you are favored by God change your experience of peace in daily life?
WEEK THREE: Dec 14/15
- Read Matthew 2:1-11.
- Consider the journey of the Magi who traveled far, guided by a star, to meet Jesus. Reflect on your own journey to find Christ. What ‘stars’ or signs have guided you closer to Him?
- The Magi responded to meeting Jesus with joy and worship. How can you more fully express your joy and worship for Christ in your daily life and especially during the Christmas season?
- Joy is a profound result of encountering Jesus. How can you share the joy of knowing Christ with others who may not yet know Him or who need encouragement during this season?
