
What is SuperStart?
SuperStart is a high-energy weekend event for preteens to hear the gospel, learn Biblical truths, and take their next steps toward Jesus. Students will meet at Grace Orlando on Friday evening and then travel together with small group leaders to and from First Baptist Orlando on Friday & Saturday for the event.

Teaching Sessions
Immerse yourself in powerful teaching sessions led by Pastor Mike Standish and Kayla Jeffers.
Worship Experience
Join our worship team for high-energy and impactful worship sessions, including some cool “unplugged” moments around the fire, creating a unique and spiritual atmosphere.
Outdoor Adventures
This year, we’re swapping the trampoline park for thrilling outdoor activities and team-building events. Get ready for some fun as we embrace fearlessness together!
Overnight Stay
This year we will be driving out to Lake Placid Conference Center in Lake Placid, FL. (Transportation Provided.)
FAQs
Who is invited to the SuperStart Conference?
SuperStart Conference is open to all 5th and 6th grade students at each of our Grace campuses.
How much does the event cost?
The cost for this event is $65.
Do I need to fill out anything besides the registration?
All participants will receive a follow-up email that includes the CIY medical release form. This form must be completed and returned. You will also receive a Grace Church medical release form. If this form has been completed since June 2021 for any other student event, you will not need to complete another medical release form (unless any insurance information has changed).
When does registration close?
Registration closes on Tuesday, January 2nd.
Who are the small group leaders?
The small group leaders are Gracestudent volunteers from the Orlando and Oviedo campuses.
What about sleeping arrangements?
This is an overnight weekend event. Students will sleep at Grace Church’s Orlando campus. Girls will sleep in Room 200 and boys will sleep in Room 300. Background-checked adult volunteers will supervise each room. An adult volunteer will also be available for medication distribution if needed.
What should I pack?
Students will need to pack clothes for Saturday and something comfortable to sleep in on Friday night. They’ll need all the overnight basics too: a pillow, sleeping bag/air mattress, and toiletries. Students may want to bring a toiletry caddy or plastic bag to keep all essentials together. Students are encouraged to bring a Bible, pen, & notebook as well.
Is this a tech-free weekend?
YES! We want to minimize the distraction and maximize the connection, so please have your students keep their devices at home. Students are encouraged to bring a Bible, pen, & notebook if they want to take notes.
