Lent is a season of slowing down, paying attention, and making space for God to do the deep work our souls need. This year, our Lenten journey walks alongside The Church Alive, our sermon series in Acts, where we see how God formed, healed, strengthened, and sent His people.
The weekly prompts below are simple invitations to help you stay attentive to God’s work in your life. Every Wednesday, they offer gentle ways to reflect, pray, or take a small step of faith as we move toward Easter together.
Use them each week to pause, breathe, and stay open to what the Spirit is doing in you and in our church family.
Start Lent by reading our short article, about the meaning of Ash Wednesday and why Christians begin this season with dust, dependence, and hope.
Then, attend an Ash Wednesday service in person or online to mark the beginning of your Lenten journey.
Reflection:
What is one thing you want God to shape in you this season?
Prayer:
God, remind me of my dependence on You and begin shaping my heart in the ways I need most.
Read Acts 2:42. This verse shows the simple rhythms that shaped the early church: teaching, community, meals, and prayer.
Reflection:
Choose one of these rhythms to lean into this week: listen to a sermon or podcast, share a meal with someone, join a group, reach out to a friend, or set aside a few quiet minutes to pray.
Ask God to shape your heart through whichever rhythm you practice.
Prayer:
Jesus, meet me in the ordinary rhythms of my life and form me as I make space for You.
Read Acts 3 to see how Jesus meets someone in a place of deep need and restores what was broken.
Reflection:
Name one place in your life where you’re longing for God’s restoration. Ask Him to meet you there and to give you courage for whatever step lies ahead: an honest conversation, a strained relationship, or a step you’ve been hesitant to take.
Prayer:
As you breathe in and out, pray:
Inhale: Give me courage, Lord.
Exhale: I trust You with this step.
Take one small step of obedience as God leads you.
Read Acts 4 to see how the early church turned to prayer when they felt afraid, and how God filled them with boldness.
Reflection:
This weekend, we’ll witness that same kind of boldness as people take their next step of baptism. Take a moment to thank God for their stories, and join us on March 14th as they take this meaningful step of faith.
If baptism is your next step, you can sign up here.
Prayer:
God, fill me with Your Spirit and help me live my faith openly and faithfully.
Read Acts 6 and note how the early church stepped in so no one was overlooked.
Reflection:
Think of one practical way you can serve someone this week: taking a task off their plate, helping with a project, or meeting a need you’ve noticed. Choose something that requires a sacrifice of time and effort.
Let this simple act of service become part of your Lenten practice of putting others first.

Prayer:
God, open my eyes to the needs around me and give me a willing heart to serve with love.
Read Acts 13 and note how the church listened and responded to the Holy Spirit. They didn’t rush or strive, they simply made themselves available to God’s leading.
Reflection:
Take a few minutes this week to slow down and ask: Where are You sending me today: in my home, in my work, in my community?
Stay open to the opportunities God brings your way, even the small ones.
Prayer:
Lord, help me slow down enough to hear You and respond with obedience wherever You lead.
Good Friday invites us to stand at the foot of the cross and remember: Jesus stepped into darkness so we could walk in light.
As you walk through our Good Friday Experience this week, let the story remind you of the cost of grace and the depth of God’s love. His sacrifice was personal and His love is unshakeable.
Reflection:
As you prepare for Easter, take a moment to ask: Where have I seen Jesus meet me in this season? Where do I need His resurrection hope now?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for meeting me at the cross, and fill me again with the hope of Your resurrection.
