Our 2018 Christmas Offering will wrap up our two-year giving initiative by supporting its final goal — to launch our care and counseling ministries at Grace in the coming year.

This fall at Grace, we have been learning about stewarding people’s stories well — meeting them where they are and caring for them well in order that they might know Jesus. Our care and counseling ministries will help us focus on this in the new year, supporting enrichment, conferences, counseling, recovery groups, and more for people in our church and in our community in 2019.

Anyone can give. If you made a ONE pledge, your gift will count toward that pledge.

Why the $750,000 goal? Is this a new campaign?

This isn’t a new campaign, but rather a challenge to increase our total giving over last December by 30% — so this goal includes our regular giving and additional generosity we are asking you to prayerfully consider at the end of this year.

Is $750,000 the total goal for all campuses?

Yes. We are asking all campuses to give toward this goal.

What will the additional money be used for?

We are launching a gospel-centered Care and Counseling ministry for Grace in 2019, and additional resources given over budget will help us start this important ministry with strength. Some of our short term goals include sponsoring conferences, establishing regular counseling and mentoring hours at the church building, supporting foster families, launching classes and groups, and some staffing. Larger goals include renovating the warehouse office space for a counseling center and hiring at the Director level.

If I made a ONE Initiative pledge in 2016, does this offering count toward that?

Yes, it does! This generosity goal is all about completing the ONE Initiative — our last big goal of ONE was to launch Care and Counseling ministry, and we want to accomplish that by finishing our ONE pledges well. If you made a ONE pledge we are just asking you to finish strong.

Do we still give to local schools as in past Christmas offerings?

Yes! First, we still give to meet the needs of families in the schools where we rent. We also host a huge Back to School Event in August with free school supplies, haircuts and physicals for kids in need. And we just completed food and supply drives for low-income schools in Winter Garden and Oviedo in December. But in 2019, our major ministry focus will be establishing Care and Counseling ministries.

Grace is a movement of God in Central Florida that reaches so much further than the walls of your campus. Instead of growing up, we are growing out.

Two years ago, we joined together across campuses to pledge to be ONE Grace Family, working and giving to accomplish major goals for our church:

  • Our main goal: 100% participation from our church family — encouraging everyone to take steps in generosity
  • Purchasing, renovating, and opening the Grace Church campus at Pembrook
  • Supporting and encouraging church planting
  • Expanding the reach of our current ministries
  • Paying down debt for future facility investment
  • Starting a Grace care and counseling ministry

We can’t wait to celebrate what God has done over the last two years! We will be mailing a final report on God’s faithfulness to us in these goals – and your faithfulness in giving — in December.
